“Hands-On” is both a literal piece--a sculpture molded with wire and paper mache from my hands--and metaphoric. The title expresses this duality, as in the expression “hands-on” can connote direct activity (e.g., of working on or fixing something) or being personally involved and invested in an activity. This experimental piece has been a “hands-on” experience for me.
